Personal Statement

Dynamic Health Collaborative

Everyone deserves to be their truest and healthiest selves. I believe that every individual has undeniable value and a life worth living. Developing a safe therapeutic relationship with my clients is of utmost importance to me and I integrate many philosophies and modalities in sessions, based on what my client needs at the moment. My clients learn to process, integrate, and find internal strengths to cope with their challenges.

Why did I decide on my current profession?

Dynamic Health Collaborative

I have been a curious observer of human behaviour all my life. Additionally, I consider myself an empath and I have intuition and skill in understanding people’s emotional needs. I have had the opportunity to learn about many therapeutic modalities and philosophies which have greatly contributed to my knowledge-base. My values of honesty, caring for others, and empathy have led me to be passionate about pursuing a career in mental health service.

What do I like most about what I do?

Dynamic Health Collaborative

Providing a safe space, a sense of validation, increased insight, and experiential/mindfulness-based practices to help clients with their emotional wellbeing.

FAQ with Chatzkel

What does integrative wellbeing mean to you?

To me, integrative wellbeing means taking a biopsychosocial approach to addressing emotional/mental health issues. Furthermore, it acknowledges that in order to make progress in one’s wellbeing, one needs to consider all aspects of their health.

What do you want your clients to know about you and what it's like to work with you?

I would like my clients to know that during our sessions my only concern or attention is with them. I am not the perfect therapist and I can’t fix them. I am here to facilitate their ability to heal themselves through the integration of the therapy into their lives. I am highly non-judgemental and there is nothing that I am not comfortable discussing. There is no such thing as “too much information” in therapy. That said, I will not overly push them to disclose anything they are unwilling or not yet ready to talk about. I can not provide a definitive framework for the length of therapy, yet I work collaboratively and according to what the client feels is important for themselves.

What excites you about mental health?

Providing a safe space, a sense of validation, increased insight, and experiential/mindfulness-based practices to help clients with their emotional wellbeing.

What do your clients say about you?

That I’m a good listener, insightful, wise, caring, and gentle.

What do you want to say to someone struggling with mental illness or emotional difficulty?

I hear you. I sense that it is (really) hard for you.
