Personal Statement

Dynamic Health Collaborative

Do you struggle to control your anger? Do you want better communication with your spouse? If you are looking to gain back control of your life, Leah understands and is here to help. She uses a direct and straightforward approach – helping you develop healthy relationships – and draws on cognitive-behavioural therapy to help you understand the reasons behind your behaviour and choices.

Why did I decide on my current profession?

Dynamic Health Collaborative

I love to help people and feel I have the ability to understand people. I have the insight into what one is feeling and why. My approach to couples and individual counseling flows from a sense of empathy, listening and connecting with clients’ difficulty, but also by empowering their experiences. Taking a caring and relationship-based approach, I work to see clients overcome crises and learn new skills and habits. I work with adults, emerging adults (16-years-of-age and up), and couples looking to mend breakdowns in communication, and experience healthier relationships in all aspects of their daily lives.

What do I like most about what I do?

Dynamic Health Collaborative

The feeling I get when a client has that “aha!” moment.
