2) Nonjudgement - refraining from creating an opinion on what you are paying attention to and what you are engaged in
3) Accepting the present moment - wholeheartedly taking in what is going on without resistance
4) Identification - stop believing that you are your thoughts or emotion, you are just the one directing your attention to those thoughts and emotions
5) Choice - make space between what is happening and what your reaction is, and truly decide how to proceed
