Common Questions About Our Dyamic Drips
What is IV Vitamin Therapy?
IV nutrient therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous drip. This bypasses digestion, allowing for higher absorption compared to oral supplements.
How long does the treatment take?
Infusions usually take 30–75 minutes, depending on the formula and vein access. First-time visits with assessment may take slightly longer.
Does IV Vitamin Therapy hurt?
Patients feel a quick pinch during IV insertion. Once the IV is in, most people feel comfortable and relaxed. You may feel warming, cooling, or a taste of vitamins (especially B vitamins) - this is normal.
How soon will I feel results?
Some patients feel benefits immediately (energy, clarity, hydration), while others notice improvements over 12–72 hours. Results vary by nutritional status and health goals.
Are there side effects?
Side effects are generally mild and temporary and may include:Slight bruising or tenderness at the IV siteFeeling chilled (a blanket can help)Increased urinationTemporary metallic tasteSerious reactions are rare and your doctor monitors you throughout.
Is IV therapy safe?
Yes, when administered by trained professionals using sterile technique and medical-grade solutions. Your naturopathic doctor screens for contraindications and personalizes treatment.
How often should I get treatments?
This depends on your goals:
• Immune or hydration support: weekly, monthly or as needed
• Energy, mood, skin, athletic recovery: weekly–monthly
• Chronic deficiency: a set treatment plan may be recommended
Your doctor will provide a schedule tailored to you.
Can I get IV therapy if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Some nutrients are safe and beneficial, while others require modification. Always inform your provider to ensure proper dosing and safety.
Can I drive or work afterward?
Yes. Most people return to normal activities immediately. If you feel tired or light-headed, rest until you feel better.
Do I need blood work first?
Not always. Some treatments require recent blood work (ex: electrolytes, G6PD for high-dose vitamin C, ferritin for iron infusions). Your provider will advise if required.
Why is hydration and eating beforehand important?
These help with:
• Easier vein access
• Preventing low blood sugar or dizziness
• Reducing side effects
Can I take oral supplements with IV therapy?
Yes, and in many cases both are used together to restore levels faster and maintain results.
