Common Questions About Our Dynamic Drips
What are the costs to see a therapist at your clinic?
Depending on appointment length and the seniority of the clinician you're working with, costs range between $50 and $200 per appointment. Schedule a complimentary assessment to get started. Once we've built a care plan, we can work with you and your budget to design the plan that fits your needs.
How many sessions do you need?
The number of therapy sessions can vary greatly from person to person. Typically, clients begin with weekly sessions, gradually moving to bi-weekly or monthly check-ins as they gain confidence in their progress and goals. Several factors influence the overall length of therapy, including the specific goals you're working towards, the challenges you're navigating, your ability to apply changes in everyday life, and any financial considerations. We'll work together to determine a plan that feels right for you, adjusting as needed along the way to ensure the support you receive is both effective and manageable.
Are psychotherapy services covered by OHIP?
Unfortunately, our services are not covered by OHIP buy they may be covered by your private health insurance plan.
What can I expect in a therapy session?
In your first therapy session, the focus will be on getting to know you and understanding the challenges you're facing. Together, we'll discuss your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session helps establish a foundation for our work together, allowing us to set the direction for the therapeutic process. It's also a space for you to ask questions and share what's important to you as we begin this journey.
What is the difference between a psychotherapist and a social worker?
Social workers and therapists perform similar duties, but their education, training and day-to-day jobs vary. Social workers need a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited program. Therapists need at least a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or another related mental health degree.
