Naturopathic medicine is often used alongside conventional treatments to provide a more comprehensive and personalized approach to healthcare.
What training does a Naturopathic Doctor receive?
To become a Naturopathic Doctor (ND), candidates must first complete an undergraduate degree, typically in a science-related field. They then attend an accredited naturopathic medical school, where they undergo four years of training. This includes courses in medical sciences, naturopathic therapies like herbal medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, and clinical training. After graduation, NDs must pass the Naturopathic Doctors Licensing Examination and are regulated by the College of Naturopaths, ensuring ongoing standards and education.
